An interesting study. Protestations aside, they wanted to show that minorities were killed more by cops than whites. If you want to skip the study, the very last line sums it up: “While minorities were more likely to be stopped/arrested by police, the probability of being killed/injured during a stop/arrest did not vary by race.”

Despite the common beliefs, the vast majority of universities lose money on college sports. There are lots of sports options at universities. Women have more sports teams than men on average. Most schools don’t have teams for all of the possible NCAA sports. Big losers include wrestling, tennis, rifle, gymnastics and sking.

Homelessness is nothing new in the history of America. How the homeless and the governments handle it has changed throughout our history. These pictures and the story are interesting. Is it still possible to be an itinerant worker or entrepreneur in America? Towns arrest little kids for having lemonade stands.

I waited for a couple of days before I posted on this subject. The initial reports came out on sources that were famous for not always being 100% accurate and more interested in “flashy” news. Now that the truth is coming out, I don’t know what’s more troubling, the fact that an Army Officer is a traitor, of the fact that he got radicalized at West Point by a taxpayer-funded instructor. …
Sometimes “fake news” starts as merely misleading news. In the case of the Russians and Facebook, the media did report the truth, that $100K was spent. It’s misleading because they don’t tell the rest of the story that hundreds of millions were spent on Facebook by politicians of all stripes. …
The “national security” claim is invoked regularly when our government doesn’t want to reveal things that might be embarrassing. Obviously misused a lot, it should be a red flag to the rest of us that they are doing something wrong.…
Is this an unintentional consequence of our anti Russia efforts or a willing plan to build up China? China has always done foreign investment different than we do. They don’t just give money. They take equity positions.

The US has a long history of “using” the Kurds and then pulling the plug on them. The West did it to them after WWI. Kissinger did it in 1975 once we didn’t need them. After the first Gulf War we did it to them again. The challenge is that the Kurds live in four different countries, none of which are excited about a large independent Kurdish state.…
The biggest lesson for America of Judge Moore’s victory this week is that he did it with limited funds. He made it past the first round with less than $500,000. Unheard of in this day and age for a US Senate race. The deep state spent millions on a race that was between two Republicans! The NRA spent almost $1 million in the last week of the race alone!

The F35 program from the beginning was the biggest wealth redistribution program ever produced for the Neo’s. 25 years in development an it’s never been used in combat. The telling line, “Lockheed Martin has been awarded $200 million in contracts to attempt to halve the aircraft's cost”. We’re paying them money to figure out how to pay them less!
