In a showdown that demonstrated the destructive power of ISIS-aligned suicide bombers, a tank manned by Iraqi Shia fighters appeared to trigger a massive explosion when it pointed its muzzle at a rickety pickup truck packed to the brim with explosives. First, militia soldiers try to stop the truck with small-arms fire. Then the truck, presumably driven by ISIS fighters, advances toward the tank.
Then suddenly, there’s a massive explosion.
Debris flies everywhere, hitting the tank and a combat infantry vehicle, and narrowly missing a group of fighters on the ground.

ISIS in Syria and Iraq are virtually destroyed, despite our best efforts.
We had a chance when we first invaded Iraq to use the former military leaders of Iraq to stabilize the country. Well, it looks like we did use them again to run ISIS.
Note the picture with "John al-McCain" with the new and future leader of ISIS.

A few months ago, as Syria started to achieve success against ISIS, there was a story going around that the US had actually rescued ISIS leaders and their families and transported them to safety. I kept an eye on the story because it sounded like something that we would do, but found little to support or dispel the story.
Well, today the BBC dropped the bombshell that it was a true story. This should both enlighten and disgust you. "John al-McCain" should be having a bad day.…
Despite the best efforts of the US, Saudi Arabia and Israel, ISIS has been destroyed in Syria! I’m sure there are stragglers around the country, but their organized resistance is over.
The folks that live there (Iraq, Iran, Syria) have put aside differences to defeat a common enemy. John McCain must be in real pain today.…
The growth of ISIS brought troubled youth from around the world to support their cause. Radicalized people from Europe, the US, the Middle East and SE Asia rallied to the cause.
Some came for adventure. As some surrender in Syria, many merely came for the money. Others really were radicals.
As ISIS breaks up, many will want to return to the countries they came from. Allowing these radicals back into your society is fraught with danger.
Indonesia is tackling the issue right now and we should watch and learn from how it works. …
If you are inclined to share blog posts, this is probably the most important posts you read all year.
Imagine at the height of World War II if you found out that the US was training the Nazi SS? Imagine if you found out that during the Cold War the US was funding the Soviet Army? I’m certain that most would consider this to be treason of the highest order.
Well, the US and its allies did that with Al Qaeda and ISIS! This isn’t a conspiracy theory, this is all revealed in a recently released DoD document that only released after an FOIA request forced the DoD to released it. DoD turned down the FOIA request, but they were sued and the courts forced them to release the document.
Here’s the “killer lines”:
“Western governments deliberately allied with al-Qaeda and other Islamist extremist groups to topple Syrian dictator Bashir al-Assad.”
‘in coordination with the Gulf states and Turkey, the West intentionally sponsored violent Islamist groups to destabilize Assad, despite anticipating that doing so could lead to the emergence of an 'Islamic State' in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).”
“the Pentagon foresaw the likely rise of the 'Islamic State' as a direct consequence of the strategy, but described this outcome as a strategic opportunity to "isolate the Syrian regime."
This is political strategy conducted by insanity. We claim that ISIS is an enemy and expend US resources to destroy them, yet we created them, supported them and trained them. At best these are some stupid people. At worst, it’s treason. Our war in Syria has created a mere 28 casualties and even one MIA (when have you ever heard about the MIAs in our never-ending wars – two in Iraq and one in Syria)?
This is a must read and must share post. I recommend not reading it on a full stomach. It made me want to vomit. Here’s the worst part: This was originally posted in 2015! I’ve been unable to find coverage of this in any of the mainstream media outlets.
Not only were the US-backed ‘moderate’ militants in southern Syria never meant to fight ISIS, but their commanders actually traded US-made weapons and ammunition to terrorists, a rebel defector claimed in an interview with Rossiya-24.
