The assumption that our politicians care about the truth is probably a very faulty assumption. Some don’t want their complicity revealed. Others like being able to pontificate on things that merely obstruct. All to distract from things that are really important or to get political gain.…
We elected a president to stop our never ending wars. President Trump has ordered the CIA to stop their wars in Syria. Yet we still continue. Is America an out of control military state?…
Russia’s tactics in Syria deserve some serious studies by our military leaders. Supporting the legitimate leaders of a country starts success. Their military support supported the local military. They were prepared to provide humanitarian aid the minute that towns were freed. The locals saw the Russians as welcome friends and not occupiers.…
It’s hard enough to try and figure out why we were in Syria in the first place. It’s really hard to figure out why we are still there. For once, the good guys won in Syria, despite our best efforts to prevent that happening.…
We have the largest economy in the world. China has spent its wealth on growing it’s economy both domestically and internationally. Their focus is on growth. The US spends in wealth on war and the growth on its empire. Do we not recognize the different results of the two approaches?…
Is it really possible that there is a “server” for each member of congress? Is that the model? Not to defend Hillary, but if that is the model, maybe that’s why she sought to maintain it. Ignoring the cost of 535 servers, it seems like that allows for 535 opportunities to hack our government.…

He is in charge of the executive branch and that is what he can control. He has achieved more success than his detractors will credit him for and less than I’d hope for. The only chance we American’s have is if the swamp is defeated in 2018.…
This one will become very interesting. Grants certainly are discretionary. Every executive branch agency makes the rules on how the grants are dispensed. The Supreme Court has consistently ruled that agencies can do this. The Justice Department in this case has said they will continue. If the Supreme Court gets involved and says that they can no longer do that, it will force Congress to do their job and actually make decisions. All goodness from my perspective.

Facebook is a private company. They get to decide what they want to do with their product. This is not a “freedom of speech” issue. They are allowed to do this because all we do is complain. Stop funding them by using them and you’ll see them dry up.

It seems odd to me that some of the strongest supporters of moral values in the world are former communist countries. Perhaps people don’t really value something until they actually experience the impact of it’s loss.…
