The 487 Theory is real. Details and examples are many.
The 487 theory rests on two premises. The first is that the media with their incessant coverage of the Antifa protests wants to convince Americans that the protests are a groundswell of protests that are occurring nationwide. The second is that in fact the protests are taking place in cities, counties and states where the liberals are the dominant political force and hence can protest with little or no ramifications.
The first premise speaks for itself. Just search for any Antifa protest and you will find tons of stories and videos. It certainly would be easy to make the assumption that this unrest is a nationwide occurrence.
The second premise turns this information into knowledge. Knowledge that you can use to realize that you and your fellow Americans probably aren’t at risk of civil unrest.
Let’s look at eleven of the most recent places where Antifa protests have occurred:
Berkeley, Chicago, New York, Seattle, Charlottesville, Durham, Chapel Hill, Lansing MI, Houston, DC
These ten cities are all in 487 counties! The first five are in 487 states!
I did say there were eleven and astute readers will notice that I only listed ten. The eleventh one is an example that supports my premise. Antifa has “tested” going to non 487 counties. They went to Auburn Alabama (probably thought a college town would be receptive). It did not go well for Antifa. The Alabama police did their jobs and it was a huge failure for Antifa.
I use Antifa as an example of what happens in 487 counties and states. The argument applies to all sort of stupid, liberal crap that is encouraged in these areas. Travel or live there at your own peril.
